Saigas on the front cover of Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment!
Joe Bull's article on the role biodiversity offsets can play in conserving highly mobile species such as the saiga will feature on the front cover of the journal Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment!
"The static boundaries of protected areas are often ineffective for conserving migratory species such as the saiga antelope (Saiga tatarica). Scientists are now exploring new conservation strategies, involving biodiversity offsets, to ensure the survival of such "moving target" species."
The journal will be published in May 2013.
